Matt has taken over as General Manager from Rohan Hawker in March 2011. He has been an asset to our business since joining the stable as Racing Manager in 2008, coming across from the North Melbourne Football Club. He has a great understanding of the industry, our business and developing relationships with our clients.
Matt will look to build on the business platform set by Rohan as well as continuing to keep each owner up to speed on their horses’ progress through our industry leading communications systems and protocols.
Paul Heazlett - Assistant Trainer

Paul Heazlett joined the team in December 2011 following more than two decades in leading city stables. Originally from Sydney Paul has worked for legendary racing figures of TJ Smith and Bart Cummings, as well as stints with David Hall, Lee Freedman and Tony Noonan. His wealth of experience is invaluable for the stable.
Paul Koumis - 13th Beach Training Centre Foreman
Day-to-day farm management
Paul has been a valued member of Danny’s team for years. The experienced track rider is Danny’s travelling foreman and he runs the day-to-day operations of the Barwon Heads property. With up to 25 horses in work at any one time, Paul oversees a vibrant staff at the beachside location and is assisted by track manager James Dalton in the running of the rural training complex.
