SWIFTIES UP AND ABOUT
When you are named after a global phenomenon you have big shoes to fill, but for Miss Swift she is starting to put her name in lights.
The three-year-old filly has returned in the Autumn with successive victories, with her latest on Wednesday coming in a field that had six last start winners heading to the gates.
"Today was a good test for her and she passed with flying colours," O'Brien said post race at Caulfield.
"You never quite know when you coming from BM64 in the country to a BM64 in town, but she put in an excellent performance and showed an excellent turn of foot entering the straight."
O'Brien also heaped praise on apprentice jockey Tom Prebble, who's excellent ride and 3kg claim aided the victory.
"It was a mature ride from Tom as Blake Shinn was trying to bully him out of the lead on the favourite, but he held his nerve and the fence and she railed through perfectly to put the race away."
The Almanzor filly improved her record to three wins from nine starts with the success.
