STEP OUT TO 2000 A ZINGER

Talented three-year-old Grinzinger Allee showed he was a horse to follow in the future with a effortless three-length romp at Cranbourne on Wednesday.

Stepping out to 2000m for the first time, the son of Reliable Man was very impressive recording the soft victory.

“It was an outstanding performance,” jockey Ben Melham said post race.

“He was coming up against the older horses and carrying 61.5kg, and he made a mockery of them as I only had to ride him out hands and heels.

“He had plenty in reserve and it was the win of a horse going paces.”

Melham settled the full-brother to Grinzinger Star behind the leader in running, before shouldering into the clear at the top of the straight and running away with the BM64 event.

“The way he relaxed today was superb and he will definitely get further based on that, which opens up so many more option for him.”

The win took trainer Danny O'Brien a step closer to 100 victories for the season , as his tally now sits at 97 with 16 days remianing.
