SERINDA POWERS HOME

Blueblood filly Serinda showed she has a turn of foot as electric as her Group 1 winning mum's when she powered over the top of her rivals to win at Bendigo on Wednesday.

The three-year-old settled three-back the fence in running for jockey Craig Williams and was held up from the 400m to 150m, before dropping from the clouds once clear to overhaul her rivals in the 1100m maiden event.

"I was really impressed how quickly she sprinted once the gap appeared," Williams said post race.

"She has the makings of a nice horse and it's exciting for the stable and her connections."

The filly is a daughter of O'Brien's 2008 Winter Stakes winner Absolut Glam.

"It's great to train the progeny of a horse that we had so much success with and the fact she could win at start two is a huge bonus, and we can't wait to see where she ends up in the future," O'Brien's General Manager Matt Harrington said.
