Second Bullet scores back-to-back wins

Regally bred four-year-old Second Bullet is in career best form after registering his second straight city win on Saturday at Caulfield.

The son of Encosta De Lago, out of Group 1 winning mare Private Steer, improved his record to three wins and a placing from his four 2000m starts.

Ridden by apprentice Michael Dee, Second Bullet settled out the back in the Benchmark 90 event before rounding the field to win easily in what was an impressive performance.

Trainer Danny O'Brien was thrilled after the race and said he was keen to run the gelding over 2400m in the coming weeks after how well he found the strong once again at 2000m.

"He is a winner this horse as he has now won 5 from 15 and they way he is dominating these races has me keen to try him over further," O'Brien said.
