QUELLO SCOOPS UP ALL THE GOLD
Quello Dorato made his owners delighted when he proved too strong on Sunday at Ballarat collecting first prizemoney and the Vobis Gold Bonus.
The four-year-old picked up just over $19,250 for first place and a further $14,000 in bonuses for the BM64 1500m event.
In quite a tactical affair, jockey Jordan Childs pulled all the right reins settling the gelding outside the leader before defying all challenges in the run home.
"It was a strong performance and he kept getting stronger the longer we went. He is a horse going places," Childs said.
It was the son of Trapeze Artist's second win his past three starts.
After some tendon issues as a younger horse the half-brother of superstar Bella Nipotina has built his record to two wins and three placings from six starts.
