THEME PARK TAMES WILD RIDE

THEME PARK TAMES WILD RIDE

Not even the distraction of the a riderless horse, could dent Theme Park's focus on breaking his maiden status at Sale on Wednesday.

The Ocean Park gelding was cruising out in front mid-race for jockey Craig Williams, when Jason Benbow was dislodged and his mount Postmistress sprinted to the front of the field.

"Luckily on the turn the riderless horse veered out wide and we were able to get up on the fence and even though it rolled back in towards, if anything it kept my horse's mind on the job," Williams said.

"Theme Park deserved today's win as he has been racing consistently . He enjoyed the heavy surface and he felt like we would event apprecaite further than the 1400m of today's race."

The win by the three-year-old continued the big week for Wakiato Stud's stallion Ocean Park who has prodcued 10 winners in the past 10 days, which includes stablemate Fabric who won impressively at Flemington on Saturday.
