SUNDAY'S BEST PROVES JUST THAT

Well-bred Rosemont mare Sunday's Best showed she was well named with a strong victory at Colac on Sunday.

Many experts had the Snitzel mare as the best bet of the day and she always appeared to have the race in hand under Liam Riordan as she scored her second career win.

"She was unlucky last start, but proved too good today. She had plenty up her sleeve and I think she can go on with it,"  Riordan said post race.

Trainer Danny O'Brien said he was thrilled to get the result for the Rosemont team during the Inglis Premier Sale.

"Rosemont have put a lot back into the industry and it's great to win races with their well-bred stock, " O'Brien said.

"This filly has been a work in progress, but the penny appears to be dropping and we will keep her around this grade and see if we can continue her good form rolling."
