SUKOOT LANDS THE LOOT

A tremendous ride from jockey Daniel Moor saw Sukoot land his first metropolitan success at Sandown on Wednesday.

Moor settled the six-year-old Savabeel-gelding in the box seat before taking inside runs into the straight to contest for the lead.  And when leader Highclass Harry kicked strongly the two engaged into a ding-dong, stride for stride battle  over the final 200m, that saw Moor able to get Sukoot home for owners Uluru Stud.

"Danny and owner Jeff Dimery are such terrific supporters of mine, so it gives me a great deal of pleasure to ride winners for them," Moor said.

"This horse was placed to perfection today and his win in the end was tough given the battle over the final stages."
