SMASHING RETURN

Jett Smash returned first-up with an emphatic victory at Sale on Sunday.

The son of Brave Smash overcame being caught three-deep throughout the 1212m event, however proved too strong in the run to the line to win well.

Jockey Jordan Childs said it was a great return from the three-year-old and showed he was on track for a big campaign.

"I just wanted to keep him relaxed and flowing, and he did travel well throughout even though we were stuck wide. It was a nice victory, of a horse that is going places," Childs said.

Danny O’Brien Racing's Racing Manager Jack Howard was thrilled with the victory as owner Joe Horvat flying across from Perth to be on track for the race.

"Joe is up and about, which is terrific. We have been very happy with this horse since we bought him from New Zealand and today's race was excellent as he has improvement to come," Howard said.
