SHINN LIKES WHAT HE SEAS

Gun jockey Blake Shinn had a big weekend with a treble at Caulfield on Saturday followed up with a winner and three close seconds at Bendigo on Sunday.

But it was his winner on Sunday, four-year-old UK-bred Sea What I See, that had him excited about the future.

"Her win was that emphatic that she won like a horse that is going to progress through her grades pretty comfortably," Shinn said following the mare's four-length romp over 1300m.

"She relaxed so well in the run and then gave me a real good turn of foot which she then held to the line, and she will be a mare that will relish getting out in trip, she really has a nice future."

The daughter of champion stayer Sea The Stars was having her third career start and was first-up for 144 days.
