PITCHANUN RINGS IN THE NEW YEAR DOMINANTLY

For those that stuck with Pitchanun they were repaid on Friday night with a dominant victory at Moonee Valley.

The four-year-old mare was powered away for an easy win under John Allen who had her in a great spot in running before surging into the race at the top of the straight and winning comfortably in the 1600m fillies and mares BM64 event.

"She deserved this win as she has just been running into one better or not having the luck, but tonight panned out well and it was great to get the result," Allen said post race.

Allen also commented that he thought the daughter of Savabeel would be better suited as she stepped up in trip.

"The way she powered through the line and put them away inside the final 100m has me confident that she would handle a step up to 2000m without any issues," the Cox Plate winning hoop said.
