PATIENCE ALLOWS QUEMAX TO SHOW POTENTIAL
Waiting until he was ready to handle the rigors of racing appears that it will pay off for Quemax's connections.
The four-year-old, who was only having his third start after debuting at Seymour in early October, put in an impressive display at Cranbourne to win from what appeared to be a hopeless position turning for home over 1600m.
"It was great to see him chase hard and win softly on the line. He has been a horse we have had to have been patient with and thankfully his connections allowed us to give him the time," Danny O'Brien's Racing Manager Jack Howard said post race.
"And the way he is developing he looks to have an exciting future.
"He is going to continue to improve as he gets out in trip so tonight's result really does bode well for his future prospects,"
