OCEANS BLUE SPARKLES AT MORNINGTON

Progressive filly Oceans Blue looks like she has big things in store on the back of her dominate win at Mornington on Sunday.

The daughter of Bivouac was having her third career start and was sent to the barriers a $1.50 favourite in the 1200m three-year-old fillies' maiden on the card.

And it was a race that was never in doubt, as jockey Damian Lane settled her just behind the speed before careering away for a three-length victory.

"It was an impressive performance as she definitely had more to give at the finish which bodes well for her future," Lane said post race.

"She is a lovely and it was excellent to be able to come here and get the job done."

Lane expects that the three-year-old has the potential to measure up to stakes grade in the future.
