O'BRIEN UNLEASHES KNIGHT FURY

Trainer Danny O'Brien showed he has a horse of the future with Knightjar who stormed to victory at Sale Sunday.

The $450,000 purchase was having his second race start and the son of champion stallion I Am Invincible showed he has great potential after blowing his rivals away in the 1400m event despite a chequered passage in the race.

Jockey Jye McNeil, who received a suspension for his ride, said he was impressed with the three-year-old's victory.

"He was always travelling like the winner and despite a bumping duel in the straight he savaged the line late. I was taken by his win," McNeil said post race.

O'Brien is looking at next stepping the three-year-old out at the Flemington Carnival in a 1400m listed event on Champions Day.
