MISS ARIA PRODUCES POWERFUL FINISH

Blueblood filly Miss Aria produced a withering display of speed in the final furlong to make a winning return at Caulfield Heath Track on Wednesday.

The win bought up a double for the stable on the new track's debut and trainer Danny O'Brien was thrilled with his filly's 1000m victory.

"She has always a bit of class this filly being by Zoustar our of a Group 1 winner in Bonaria, but she was a slow burn earlier in her career," O'Brien said post-race.

"However this preparation she looked like she had developed and from the wide gate we always knew she was going to back in the field, but we hopeful her class might be enough to get her home and that it how it panned out."

White-hot jockey Blake Shinn settled the filly at the tail of the field before easing into the clear out the widest on the track and rounding them up.

"She is a classy horse and once again Danny has a nice horse on his hands," Shinn said.
