MARE RIDES HAT-TRICK OFF TO STUD

It’s My Turn has new challenges ahead as she rounded out her racing career with a third straight win at Pakenham on Friday night.

Recently purchased by Widden Stud on Inglis Digital, the daughter of Star Turn‘s date with the breeding barn was always on the cards.

Hhowever with the breeding season still a few weeks away after the purchase,  the famed stud decided that given she was a last start winner and fully fit, that they would race her leading into the next chapter of her life.

The decision has led to two more wins as the mare finishes racing with four wins and five placings from 13 starts.

Winning jockey Fred Kersley was full of praise for trainer Danny O’Brien placement of the mare.

“To win three in a row is a great effort as this mare has been placed unbelievably well, it’s a credit to Danny and now I think she off to the next phase of her career,” Kersley said.

Widden Stud’s rising stallion Supido is the likely mating for It’s My Turn for her maiden season at stud.
