LUCKY LAST FOR FARHH

After a string of commendable performances, UK-bred Farhh Flung broke through for his first win this campaign in the final race at Pakenham on Thursday night.

The Tattersalls yearling purchase scored his second win at start 10 in a career,  which also includes five placings.

"He has been ultra-consistent and it was great he was strong enough to hold on tonight," jockey John Allen said post-race.

The four-year-old was stuck wide throughout the run in the 0-64 1600m event, but Allen always had him travelling well and was able to keep the gelding going to score the win.

"He did a really good job as we were deep and he hit the front early, but he kept giving me his all and I think he would be able to handle a step-up in distance no problem at all."
