KING MAKES STAND AT YARRA VALLEY

As astute piece of placement by trainer Danny O’Brien has seen King’s Chamber break through for his maiden win at Yarra Valley on Saturday.

O’Brien had the son of Snitzel entered at Moe on Wednesday, but he decided to dodge $2 Million yearling Humming,  who won that race impressively on debut.

“He was ready to win after consecutive close seconds to start the campaign, so we wanted to make sure he was in the right race and luckily we pulled the right rein,” O’Brien said.

“He was good winning as he still did a bit wrong, but he has come back well and I am hoping he can continue his winning form next start.”
