HOOPS SCORES FROM DOWNTOWN

Four-year-old mare Hoops scored a slashing victory sailing down the outside running rail from last at Seymour on Sunday. 

The $10 chance was second-up over 2000m and jockey Jamie Mott was impressed with the victory. 

"She got held up around the 600m, but once i got her to the outside and in clera air she powered home and she just loved the distance of the race," Mott said post race,

Danny's team had her in excellent order for this race and her fitness told in the end as she came over the top of them to win. 

The Waikato Stud bred filly was Oaks placed in the Autumn and O'Brien is hopeful of getting her competing in black-type racing later in the Spring.
