HOLY MOTTY GETS JOB DONE

Jockey Jamie Mott was at his best on Sunday at Yarra Valley as scored aboard former NSW galloper Holy Tycoon.

It was the five-year-old mare's fifth career win, but first from just two starts for new trainer Danny O'Brien and first on a firm surface.

"All her best form has been on rain affected tracks and we ran out of patience waiting for a track with give in it, so it's pleasing for her to get the result," O'Brien said.

"It was an excellent ride by Jamie as he had in a great spot and he put her into the race at the right time."

O'Brien said he believed the mare has more wins in store if she could get her preferred surface.

"We will continue to be patient and ready to pounce as soon the tracks soften up."
