EXCITING WINNER FOR WIDDEN STALLION

Widden young gun Trapeze Artist kept his momentum going with a new winner at Moonee Valley on Friday night in Reprisal.

The Danny O’Brien trained gelding Reprisal improved on his debut third at Bendigo back in May to resume from a spell with a late charging run to take the 1200m maiden by half a length.

A $400,000 Magic Millions purchase for his trainer from the Widden Stud draft, Reprisal is a half-brother to stakes-winner Absolute Flirt and is the third winner from winning Northern Meteor mare Bisutti, a half-sister to stakes-winner Pressing.

The final foal of Bissuti is a two year-old colt by Trapeze Artist that sold for $130,000 at Inglis Easter this year.

Heading into a busy day of stakes racing around Australia on Saturday, Trapeze Artist is sitting on top of the Australian Second crop sires list by earnings with seven winners with progeny earnings topping $638,000.
