CHILDS SCORES 1000TH WINNER
Jordan Childs reached a significant milestone at Pakenham when Pula surged to victory on Thursday night.
It was the talented hoop's 1000th winner in what has been an excellent career thus far.
The son of champion jockey Greg Childs, of Sunline fame, Childs was able to cruise to the line without having to be too vigorous on the half-sister to group placed Miss Aria.
Danny O'Brien's Racing Manager Jack Howard was full of praise for Childs effort.
"What a wonderful achievement for Jordy and it's fair to say not many of his previous winners would have been as painless as that win was right there," Howard said post race.
"He is a tremendous rider, but even better bloke so we are thrilled at the stable to play a small part in a terrific milestone for one of the best riders in the state."
The four-year-old Pierro mare now has two wins and five placings from 11 career starts.
Howard said the stable has an affordable Pierro filly that was purchased for just $30,000 at the Inglis Classic Sale available for prospective clients so CLICK HERE to check her out following her breaking in preparation.
