BLACKCOMB SURGES CLEAR

Talented filly Blackcomb started her Autumn campaign off with a strong win at Pakenham on Thursday night. '

The daughter of Vancouver was given an excellent ride by jockey Damian Lane that saw her run out a comfortable winner in the 1600m event.

Assistant trainer Ben Gleeson said the stable held ambitions for the three-year-old to take on black-type racing further into this preparation.

"It was good to see her come here and get the job down first-up, backing up what we had seen at home of her," Gleeson said.
