BLACKCOMB LANDS STABLE TREBLE

Blackcomb capped a great day for trainer Danny O'Brien when her victory at Geelong  landed a treble for the stable across the two meetings on Friday.

Blackcomb and Booboo Boogie, who are both owned in the same interests, won at Geelong, while Calvi was successful at Bairnsdale.

O'Brien  said the treble was a great reward for hard work of the staff across his three stables.

"It's a terrific result. The staff have all been working very hard and on day's like this, it is great reward for all their efforts," O'Brien said.

"This mare deserved this win as her past two runs in town have been very good, so to see her win well  is excellent for all involved."

O'Brien said the daughter of Vancouver had a good grounding to be tried over further now she was in good form.
